From this assessment, and after extensive discussion, the Coach and the individual work together to develop a work plan for the acquisition of necessary knowledge and the development of essential skills. The comprehensive work continues for a full calendar year and generally includes 10 full day sessions spread throughout this period, supplemented by additional opportunities for telephone/Internet communications on an as needed basis between sessions to support the individual as they address issues. • Focused Coaching Of The Physician Aspiring To, Or Being Actively Recruited To An Executive Position* The Coach develops a process tailored to the needs and intent of the physician who is seeking a leadership position. Their work together includes: A clarification of career goals and how the position in question fits that intent; a cogent articulation of skills, strengths and leadership style; and, the development and refinement of interviewing techniques and the development of an ease and comfort with the interview process. As the individual moves toward preferred candidate status, the Coach works with him or her to help them optimally position themselves for responding appropriately to an offer of the position. The Coach will assist the individual in the interpretation of a formal offer, including all aspects of a comprehensive offer package. Work of this nature generally includes two full days of work together, followed by additional hours of communication by phone, email, mail and FAX. • Advisory Services To Physician Executive Search Committees* Mr. Bachrach provides advisory services to medical schools, teaching hospitals and cancer centers that are engaged in the search for a physician executive to lead a clinical department or major program or to serve as a dean or in another senior physician executive position.
